Perfect for strong tea lovers
Kinda obsessed with Anthony’s. Amazing quality and crazy affordable. I love Earl Grey Tea. If you love tea then you know how expensive that can get. I can’t get over the amount of product you get from Anthony’s Good’s without sacrificing quality or taste. This tea smells so strongly and I was actually worried beforehand that it was going to be lackluster like a cheap tea bag. I’d say this has a heavier dose of bergamot which was exactly what I was looking for. I like to brew it strong in a french press and use it for iced latte’s. You don’t even need to double the leaves because the tea is so potent and it still shines through as a latte. Will repurchase and can’t wait to try some other Anthony’s teas.

Good for kombucha brewing
I purchased this tea to make kombucha. I started a scoby with this, sugar, and a bottle of GT’s kombucha and it’s thriving now! This is a good price for organic, good quality tea. It also tastes very good on its own. It has a rich, earthy flavor and isn’t at all bitter. I’ve attached a picture of my first batch of kombucha with the scoby I started with this tea, sugar, and a bottle of Gt’s.

Great Health Benefits with Daily Consumption
I've recently seen reviews that made me scratch my head. I first purchased Anthony's Organic Rooibos in 2016 and have never had an issue. Rooibos is a red bush in Africa, which offers some honestly amazing benefits to which I can personally attest. I've seen the difference in my health and in my lab work, vitals and other medical tests as well. Unlike other teas that come from actual tea leaves, the leaves of this red bush require a little different approach to preparing it... and that little thing is Time. For the best flavor, I don't go to the boiling point with water... in fact, 3 minutes in the microwave is plenty hot. Then I leave it for at least 10 minutes, but typically, I prepare it well in advance, knowing that I can warm the tea if I want it hot... So I often leave it to steep before going to bed and another while I'm at off to work. I typically use it in lieu of plain water for anything I mix in my water bottle. I've tested using and not using it over time, repeatedly, with the same results: I simply feel better, more relaxed, yet more energized when it's a part of my daily consumption. It even seems to settle my nerves (side effect of some medications) and stomach (again, side effect of some medications). As for reviews about taste... I can only say that this is NOT a Tea Leaf, and like anything else used to make a tea, one must take care to prepare it properly in order to extract full taste. As for "stickiness", I have never seen that with my Rooibos, but I'm very careful to keep the bag tightly sealed and remove as much air as possible. I also never have the bag open around any steaming water. The only time I've seen things stick to spoons or scoops is during the more humid months of the year... and it's quite natural. If the loose Rooibos was actually sticky, then it would be one big clump, and that would typically indicate that moisture entered the bag and remained trapped in it. A spoon or scoop can pick up moisture in the air, and because it can't absorb it and it's returned to the bag right away, it's like a magnet to the loose leaf... which will hold the moisture and gather more each time. I've never seen it just stick to a clean, dry scoop nor to any scoop that I've left in the bag. As for the seller talking to the vendors/growers about favor... I'm not sure that will change anything because it's simply a leaf that is grown, dried, crushed and delivered as loose leaf. Tea bags can contain more concentrated amounts of loose leaf because it's compacted into the bag. I've opened bags out of curiosity and found them to typically exceed a scoop. That's the only way to increase flavor in a 5-minute steep for most people; increase the amount of leaf. And that certainly accounts for the much higher cost because the cost of the bag material is negligible. That's just my personal experience... your experience might very well differ. As always, if there's an issue and you have concerns, then use the Amazon Return. ALSO, keep in mind that I'm order to use Amazon, sellers MUST contractually supply large quantities to Amazon. At that point, the seller loses all control over storage, stock rotation, etc. So the issue is most often blamed on the seller when in fact it's quite often due to circumstances beyond their control. I've seen this repeatedly over the years with perishable goods when purchased here and delivered by Amazon versus directly from the seller, who ships from their own stock. So there's also that caveat to consider. I will say that I did a lot of research before ever purchasing Rooibos, so my experience and perspective was considerably effected by a much smaller learning curve once I received the product. I simply adjusted my methods of preparation and use to reflect the requirements of the red bush leaf. Honestly, if you've ever made dandelion tea from dandelions in your yard, you'll have the same experience and comparisons to a Twinning tea bag as many of the reviewers here... for the same reasons: differences in concentration and preparation. Hope this helps you make a choice on using Rooibos as part of your daily health regimen.

Excellent quality tea at a great price!
I am a fan of a particular Canadian chain of gourmet teas. They have great blends and they also offer loose roobios (my fave) for almost $4 An ounce. I figured I’d give Anthony’s a try and I’m so glad I did! Brews up beautifully hot or iced And it’s a fraction of the cost of the other place. Don’t hesitate. It’s great stuff!

Great for cold-brewed tea
Good quality. Have been making cold-brew tea with it this past summer and have really been enjoying it that way -- nice and smooth, and very refreshing in hot weather. I use a little stevia to sweeten it, and a squeeze of lemon if I want a bit more zing. By the way, if you have garden, don't throw away the used tea leaves. You can spread them on the soil around your acid-loving plants, or compost them separtely and incorporate the result into potting soil.

i really enjoy it
personally, i really like this. this is about as close as i've gotten to a medium black tea in an herbal. it has become my staple. i have also put some dried orange rinds as well as rose petals into it and i think it blends well with both. so a good base for blends, i think. i have mixed it with black teas to mellow them out, and added to chamomiles to give them a little more flavor-kick. it's earthy, maybe a tad mushroomy but i wouldn't call it the latter. i'm undecided on whether i would call it nutty. definitely not flowery or even grassy. i know, it can't be so many nots. it's just not too strong in any one flavor except the earthy part. it's just so close to a tea leaf flavor that it throws me. almost reminds me of a cheap loose pu-erh. i have a couple of friends who aren't fans. they're not huge tea drinkers though and a little finicky. so, maybe not a guest tea. but it's not very strong in flavor in general so it's not overpowering. though you can adjust how thick you make your brew, and i think it tastes great both lighter and heavier. it gets astringent when made strong. but not a right-away astringent like other tea, more like in 5 minutes you realize you're thirsty. idk if that makes nay sense. anyway, ill get more when i run out for sure. i think it's worth trying because worst-case scenario you have a good base for a blend.

Wonderful tea.
I have used this tea several times and was very pleased. I don't find the flavor to be weak at all. I put the tea in a glass tea pot and heat it up on the fire to about 160 F. The flavor is strong and the color is a nice dark red, as it should be. The bag says to use 1 tbsp per cup of water, but I use less. 1 tbsp can make 2 cups of tea, in my opinion.

Makes a perfect gallon of tea!
I purchased Anthony's Organic English Breakfast Loose Leaf Tea in order to make a mint tea "copycat" recipe from a local restaurant. It calls for 2:1 black tea to spearmint. The tea comes in a resealable mylar bag which is so nice! The spearmint did not and it's just one more bag I don't want to have to clip! But the tea has a zip-lock seal at the top and it has been easy to open and close. I have perfected my cold brew mint tea recipe and scoop the black tea into reusable cotton draw string bags. 12 hours of cold brewing produces a very nice tea. I will be re-ordering as needed.

Affordable Organic Quality Tea
I drink a lot of tea and like a no fuss, robust, basic black tea and was not disappointed. Like other Anthony's products, the English Breakfast tea is high quality, affordable and delicious. After sampling many artisan teas that cost a lot for a small package, I was delighted to find a great tea that I can buy in bulk, without having to constantly reorder. This tea is flavorful, and while I use 2 teaspoons per large cup to get the strength I like, it's thoroughly satisfying, fresh and tasty. Great quality loose leaf and the added bonus is that it's organic, Non GMO and non irradiated.

Perfect black tea at a phenomenal price
I was pleasantly surprised at how great this tea is! I have bought it 3 times now i think. I will say that I have delicate senses due to being a trained chef and a lot of black tea tastes "fishy" to me. This makes a great cup of tea and i start every single day with it. It is something I look forward to every day!
